A consummate master potter, Mark Hewitt has been creating a wide array of fine-crafted pottery - favorite mugs, dinner plates, cereal and serving bowls, elegant pitchers and vases, garden planters, and his famous life-sized 'Big Pots' for over 40 years.
As a world-renowned contemporary potter, author, speaker, and one of the foremost scholars of traditional pottery around the world, Mark blends his intimate familiarity with the traditional tools, materials and processes of the world’s leading pottery centers with the Southern folk pottery traditions he found when he emigrated from England to North Carolina in the 1980's.
